The South Florida Real Estate problems have drastically improved over the last 2 months; personally I have seen 7 out of 13 houses sell in my neighborhood in the last 30 days. By no means is our problems over though, almost a 3rd of all Florida mortgages are delinquent and that’s a real problem… The flip side to that is after speaking to someone I know yesterday, they told me “I just completed a loan modification…Saved over $700 a month…Reduced my payment to $1000″.

A Florida judge has sentenced Birkenfeld to 40 months incarceration, the Department of Justice said Friday, in the first sentencing of the UBS tax case. The last time the South saw such a marked increase in resales was September 2005. Affordable prices made home buying attractive, as did low mortgage rates. Also, first-time buyers rushed to grab a tax credit that expires in November. And, while foreclosures are expected to be an obstacle into next year, they are making up a smaller percentage of sales in several markets. In the South, the median sales price of resold homes fell 7 percent to $164,500 — not exactly a reason to party.

When the real estate appreciates and is worthy of the investment of a bunch of town homes, a Starbucks or McDonalds, scrape the property, move equipment re-set it up at another best guess for future appreciation location? We must also not forget too the seasonality of car washing and therefore the need to average over 1-2 year period, there are some issues with what you propose, so if the real estate investment club is not flush with cash flow, it could be problematic in slow months.

Today, banks owned a lot of real estate through foreclosures. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Florida. My uncle is a real estate agent in Jacksonville and he says that real estate prices have fallen over 35% in the last 12 months. In this climate of falling prices it is important for anyone who owns and wants to sell or buy real estate in the northeast part of Florida to get a Jacksonville real estate appraisal. That is the only way you can make an informed decision about whether you are buying or selling at the right price.

George and Beth are a young married couple living in central Florida. They are beginning to undertake some of the responsibilities that couples their age encounter. One of the goals they conquered over recent days was the purchase of their first house. Well, well, well… Yes, I felt it was time again to remind everybody of the importance of being prepared for our annual storm season. Even though money’s tight these days for everyone, we shouldn’t skimp on buying the things that truly could save our lives if the situation ever arises. Five years ago, Rob and I, ourselves rode out Hurricane Charley and let me tell you, it was scary! But, we were prepared, thank goodness, and therefore, no tragedy happened with us personally.

On a tour bus. She was American. So who says the Republicans won’t have a prayer in next year’s Senate races?
