The 127 plaintiffs, many of whom were educators in Fairfax, claimed they were defrauded into buying overpriced real estate in coastal Carolina. In a 36-page memorandum order, U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee last month dismissed the banks from the consolidated action where the plaintiffs accused developers of artificially inflating the appraised value of undeveloped land in North and South Carolina.

Delhi-based Amrapali group has launched Amrapali Empire on NH24 at Ghazaibad. Spread over 16,000 sq.mt, the complex offers two- and three-BHK apartments ranging from 1,000 sq.ft to 1,650 sq.ft. U.S. News & World Report – Housing market optimists picked up another encouraging data point Tuesday, when a new report on the residential real estate market came in stronger than expected. The National Association of Realtors’ pending home sales index for July was 12 percent above year-earlier levels, hitting its highest point since June 2007. “The increase reported for pending home sales was the sixth consecutive gain, suggesting firmer figures for existing home sales in the next month or two,” economists at Goldman Sachs said in a report.
